How would Paul Millsap feel if the offer sheet he signed with Portland was matched by Utah, who undervalued him?

"The fact that Portland came out and went after Paul so greatly showed how much they want Paul," said Ara Vartanian, one of the forward's representatives.

The Jazz have said all along that they want to retain Millsap, but they failed to lock him up before Portland's offer.

"It's definitely a situation where he's getting what he should. It's a fair deal. The Jazz had a chance to not let this happen, but unfortunately they didn't value Paul as much as other teams," Vartanian added.

Utah has until next Friday to make a decision on whether to match the four-year, $32 million offer sheet Millsap signed with the Trail Blazers.

"If Utah matches, there's nothing we can do," Vartanian said. "Paul will play hard and do what he has to do. But if we had that offer from the Jazz, it never would have come to this."
