Rumors are starting to circulate that the Timberwolves might be interested in the fifth overall pick, which is owned by the Wizards.

Minnesota already has the sixth, 18th and 28th picks, but they are reportedly interested in moving up to land either Hasheem Thabeet or Ricky Rubio.

The Timberwolves are said to want the 2nd pick, which belongs to the Grizzlies, and might need a couple of top-ten picks in order to land it.

Washington has been talking to a number of teams about the fifth pick, and Minnesota could offer the expiring deals of Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal and Mark Madsen (in combination with a late-round pick) for the selection.
