There is growing speculation that the Nets could use the 11th pick on Louisville forward Terrence Williams.

"I know from close sources that New Jersey has interest in me, and I have a lot of interest in New Jersey with that level pick," Williams said after his workout with the club on Friday. "With my position, I think I could help right away and learn a lot from Vince Carter."

Williams figures to be available for New Jersey if they stay put, but there have been rumors that they could trade down for a package that would include a pair of selections.

Nets president Rod Thorn said Friday that "either scenario could happen," referring to remaining at eleven or dealing down.

"He's very physically mature, ready to play and he was impressive," general manager Kiki Vandeweghe said of Williams. "He made a lot of shots. His physical ability, the size, strength, quickness, he has all that, basically."
