Kevin Love posted a message on his Twitter account early Wednesday saying that Kevin McHale will not return as coach of the Timberwolves.

"Today is a sad day ... Kevin McHale will NOT be back as head coach this season," Love wrote.

McHale reportedly sent a text message to Love indicating that he was not coming back, according to a league source.
