Several general managers believe that the Blazers might prove to be the stiffest competition for the Magic in re-signing Hedo Turkoglu.

Portland is a rising club similar to Orlando, while the Pistons, Raptors and Hawks have the cap room to make a player for the versatile forward.

Turkoglu, who opted out of a contract that would have paid him $7.3 million next season, is believed to be looking for $10 million annually on the open market.

"I think Hedo distinguished himself in this playoff run. He's in a different spot than he was before the playoffs began," agent Lon Babby said. "He's a unique player who helped take a team to the Finals. He's grateful for the opportunity and he's enjoyed his time in Orlando. It's a solid organization, a team on the rise. Hedo will weigh his options."
