Kobe Bryant admitted on Saturday that he knows he is close to a "special" opportunity.

If Los Angeles wins on Sunday night, Bryant will have collected his fourth championship ring.

"This one is special because you rarely have the opportunity to get back up to the mountain twice in a career," Bryant said. "You have first run and then you hit rock bottom and then you've got to build back up and get back to the top."

Bill Russell has 11 rings, the most of any player in NBA history.

"I'm trying to get this damn fourth one," Bryant said with a laugh.

Bryant won his first three titles with Shaquille O'Neal controlling the paint for the Lakers.
