Sources continue to indicate that Kevin Garnett is headed for knee surgery, but the Celtics would like him to wait in hopes that he'll be able to return.

"He's thinking about (surgery), and it looks like that's the way he wants to go," Boston coach Doc Rivers said, "but I think he might wait. We think he should wait, because you never know.

"It's hard because one day he looked great and you think he's definitely coming back, and then you see him run and you realize he just can't play."

Garnett was reportedly seen on the team's practice floor wearing full workout gear on Sunday, but it's not known where he was just checking the progress of his injured knee or not.
