Heat owner Micky Arison wants to keep team president Pat Riley around for as long as possible.

Arison said Saturday that he would "absolutely" like Riley to stay on board to oversee the team's restructuring plan in the summer of 2010, and Riley has said that he'd like to remain in Miami.

"We still have a year-and-a-half, so there's plenty of time," Arison said Saturday. "[Riley] hasn't made it clear to me that he wants to stay. He may have told [the media], but he hasn't told me. We haven't broached the subject."

Riley contract expires after the 2009-10 season.
