Chris Paul may miss the remainder of the week, but an MRI on his groin revealed only a mild strain, which was far less severe injury than it appeared when he was injured in Monday night's 97-89 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

"Maybe I can play (Wednesday), maybe Friday," Paul said. "I'm just going to go with it and see how it feels."

"Everybody knows the type of heart he has and how much he wants to play," Byron Scott said. "But I don't think there's any way possible. If anything, he plays (tonight), he does more damage to it than anything. We just want to take a couple of days and just see if he's a fast healer.

"It's day-to-day. Until that thing is pretty much cleared up, we just want to wait."
