DJ Mbenga is not a lock to make the Lakers' regular season roster, so he continues to work hard in hopes of making an impression on coach Phil Jackson.

"I'm just working hard, trying to do my best," Mbenga said. "Coach hasn't told me anything. I'm just going to do my best."

Mbenga signed two 10-day contracts with the Lakers last season.

"I'm just going to see what happens," Mbenga said. "But I'm ready to go."
