The battle of the New York tabloids goes on.

In Thursday's editions, Frank Isola of the Daily News continues to insist that Stephon Marbury's days as a Knick are over while Marc Berman of the Post sticks to his stance that Marbury will return to the Knicks next season.

"Duhon is mulling a two-year contract worth approximately $7 million to join the Knicks," writes Isola.  "The club is also offering Duhon a starting position, which is further evidence that incumbent point guard Stephon Marbury will not be back next season."

Berman tells a different story:  "Duhon has become Donnie Walsh's lead candidate in his modest free-agent point-guard hunt, searching for a playmaker to compete with Stephon Marbury for the starting slot. (Marbury is in no danger of being waived.)"

The Magic are also strong contenders to acquire Duhon's services and have apparently offered a third contract year - one more than the Knicks' offer.
