Gilbert Arenas made a surprise return to the Wizards on Wednesday night, playing his first game since knee surgery in November, according to an Associated Press report.

Showing his flare for the dramatic, Arenas waited until the 5:30 mark of the first quarter of the Wizards? game against the Bucks to emerge from the locker room.

He entered the game 9 seconds later to a large ovation and scored on a reverse layup with 4:49 left in the first, his first points since November 16 against Minnesota. He made his first four shots before missing a 3-pointer at the buzzer, giving him 10 points in the quarter.

At halftime, Arenas was the Wizards? leading scorer. He had 12 points on 5-for-6 shooting despite playing only 8 minutes.
