Illlinois and Notre Dame are among the schools that are pursuing shooting guard Alex Legion, who has decided to transfer from Kentucky.

The freshman from Inkster, Mich., told the Detroit News he also is interested in Arkansas and Michigan. He committed to Michigan twice last year before deciding not to enroll after Coach Tommy Amaker was fired.

The 6-foot-4-inch Parade All-American quickly became disenchanted with Kentucky, even though he started two games this season. He's averaging 6.7 points per game in 17.5 minutes per game, but playing time and his relationship with Coach Billy Gillispie are believed to be issues in his transfer.
