Pau Gasol is expected to be cleared today to participate in non-contact workouts with the Grizzlies, the Memphis Commercial-Appeal is reporting.

Gasol could begin full-contact practices in 10-14 days if he responds to drills as impressively as he has everything else since the September surgery to repair the fractured fifth metatarsal in his left foot.

"I feel like everything is going right," Gasol said. "I'm working really hard, doing everything they ask of me. We'll see how it goes."

It is believed that Gasol could be ready to return to the court by Christmas, perhaps making a Dec. 23 date with Utah in FedExForum a "must-see."
