Milwaukee Bucks' forward Ruben Patterson is expected to register with the Wisconsin Sex Offender registry in connection with his conviction five years ago on a sex-related charge in Washington state, according to a Wisconsin Department of Corrections spokesman.

Spokesman John Dipko said representatives of Patterson had contacted the Department of Corrections to register as a sex offender. When the paperwork is complete, Patterson's name will be on a list of sex offenders living in the state.

In 2001, Patterson entered a modified guilty plea in Washington state to third-degree attempted rape for forcing his children's 24-year-old nanny to perform a sex act on him. A judge suspended all but 15 days of the one-year sentence, and Patterson served the time at his Cleveland home.
