The Houston Rockets signed Dennis Lindsey, vice president for basketball operations/player personnel, to a four-year contract Friday.

Lindsey's future became uncertain when the Rockets unexpectedly named Daryl Morey their GM after the 2006-2007 season.

"It means a lot, because Dennis is very important," Dawson said. "He signed a multiple-year deal. He's going to be in the position he was in. We're fortunate to have him with this organization. He's been here 10 years and has been a great asset."
