Amare Stoudemire's knee is feeling so good, he's been given the go-ahead to skip some steps in his rehabilitation from microfracture surgery on his knee.

According to a report in the Arizona Republic, Stoudemire has been cleared by team physician Thomas Carter to begin five-on-five drills, bypassing the two-on-two and three-on-three portions of his rehab.

"I felt really good with the one-on-ones and it's not going to change anything if I skip some steps, so I might as well get in five-on-five practices," Stoudemire said. "My main thing is to make sure I'm healthy. Personally, I feel pretty good. I'm not choosing this on behalf of anyone else's injury."
