Steve Francis, Theo Ratliff, Kenyon Martin, Earl Watson and Darius Miles all remained in the Knicks rumor mill on Monday.

The team's president, Isiah Thomas, continues to pursue all of the above names, using Penny Hardaway's expiring contract as bait.

"If anything improves our team, I'm for that," Brown said, adding, "I don't anticipate anything right now."

Brown would love to add a savvy veteran, or 10, but he is preparing to turn his team over to the younger players. He said Channing Frye, the Knicks' top pick in June, would probably start more games in the final two months.
