Seattle forward Rashard Lewis sat out Sunday night with a right thigh injury. Lewis took a knee to the thigh late in the first quarter of Friday's 99-91 win over Atlanta and didn't play the final three quarters.

At practice on Saturday, Lewis seemed hopeful he would be able to play against the Nuggets. But coach Bob Hill said while the injury didn't get any worse, it didn't improve, either.

Hill hopes Lewis will be able to play Tuesday night at Milwaukee. Lewis is Seattle's second-leading scorer, averaging 21.5 points. Damien Wilkins started in his place.
