Center Michael Olowokandi practiced with the Timberwolves on Tuesday. These days that's news, given the trade speculation that continues to swirl.

A report surfaced in Boston on Tuesday that the Celtics, tonight's Wolves opponent, are looking to trade center Mark Blount to either the Wolves or Memphis. Olowokandi is the target for the Celtics, according to the report.

But Blount's agent said Tuesday he hasn't heard anything specific with regard to a deal.

"I don't know that there's anything to it," Mark Bartelstein said.

The Celtics are talking to teams about Blount, and it's just part of the normal banter as the trading deadline approaches and teams discuss players, Bartelstein said.

Blount is averaging 13.1 points and 4.4 rebounds this season, 16 points and 6.2 rebounds over the past five games. He has four more years and about $28 million left on the six-year, $40 million contract he signed with Boston, and such a trade wouldn't fit with the Wolves' recent cost cutting.

Olowokandi is averaging 6.3 points and 5.6 rebounds in the final season of his three-year, $16.2 million contract. From an NBA rules standpoint, Blount and Olowokandi have salaries that match to pull off a deal ? about $5.5 million and $5.9 million, respectively.
