Another scoring barrage by Allen Iverson resulted in the All-Star guard being named the NBA's Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

Iverson received the honor Monday after averaging 36 points, 8.0 assists and 2.3 steals in leading the 76ers to two wins in three games. Iverson scored over 40 points in back-to-back victories, increasing his total to six 40-point games this season.

After scoring 23 points in a loss to Milwaukee on Wednesday, Iverson scored 43 in Friday's 119-115 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats. The following night in New Jersey, Iverson scored 42 points and added 12 assists in a 107-95 triumph over the Nets.

Forward Elton Brand of the Los Angeles Clippers received Western Conference honors for the second time this season after averaging 31 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4.0 blocks and 3.8 assists in four games. Brand recorded a season-high 37 points and 12 rebounds in a 99-89 win over Miami on Monday.

Brand had a double-double in all four games during the week, leading the surprising Clippers to three victories.
