Clipper point guard Sam Cassell tonight faces the Minnesota Timberwolves for the first time since they traded him to the Clippers on Aug. 12.

The Clippers signed guard Marko Jaric to a six-year, $37.9-million contract and packaged him with seldom-used guard Lionel Chalmers for Cassell and a lottery-protected first-round pick in next year's draft. After a bad breakup, Cassell said he had moved on.

"I have no vendetta against Minnesota?. I just didn't like how it ended there for me," Cassell said. "I know I had a whole lot left in my tank to help that team get to where they wanted to be?. There were just some differences there.

"But if I'm a GM, I'm not trading Sam Cassell for Marko Jaric. No way. I'm a gamer. I know how to win."
