The NBA sent out an e-mail last week saying the Hornets may have to relocate for the upcoming season. Louisville is one of five cities hoping the Hornets will call it home.

The Louisville Courier-Journal reported Friday that Louisville, Oklahoma City, Kansas City, San Diego and Nashville have offered to let the Hornets play all or part of their season in those cities. Kentucky State Fair Board president Harold Workman told the paper that his staff e-mailed Hornets officials offering to let the team play in Freedom Hall.
