Sam Smith of the Chicago Tribune has proposed that the Bulls could trade Tyson Chandler, Ben Gordon, a good third guard, and an expiring contract like that of Othella Harrington or Frank Williams to acquire Shareef Abdur-Rahim from the Portland TrailBlazers.

Smith believes that with Abdur-Rahim playing beside Eddy Curry, his influence will stabilize the young big man.

Abdur-Rahim is averaging 15.3 points and 7.6 rebounds playing small forward alongside Zach Randolph but wants to return to power forward. "That's where I'm most comfortable, where I play my best," he said.
