Although much of the attention has been focused on the multitude of potential superstar trades as of late, the draft is coming and the age old question persists:  Who will be the number one pick?

Many analysts like Okafor, the 6?10? Forward out of UConn.  His size, strength, and experience make him a perfect candidate to contribute to the NBA immediately.  He is a proven winner, as shown in his dominant performance in the NCAA tournament, and though he lacks a little in height, he makes up for it in other areas.

Coming directly to the NBA out of Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy High School, forward Dwight Howard appears to be the ?real deal?.  A great athlete, Howard shined in several high school all-star tournaments wooing many NBA scouts.  At best he could be another Kevin Garnett, at worst he is the next Kwame Brown.  Which type of player will he be?  Only time will tell.

It appears to be 50-50 in regards to which forward the Magic might select.  Their decision seems to be contingent on the upcoming McGrady trade.  After the expansion draft the Magic could boost an entirely different team than 2003-2004, and as a result, the Magic will need to select the player who would best fit in with their new squad.

Many speculate that the new expansion team, the Charlotte Bobcats, are very interested in Okafor, but at this point they can only wait.
