MINNEAPOLIS (AP) The Minnesota Timberwolves put point guard Troy Hudson on the injured list Wednesday with a sprained left ankle and signed Darrick Martin to replace him.

Hudson, a reserve, already missed 45 games this season with a sprained right ankle. He's averaging 7.5 points, 2.4 assists and 17.3 minutes in 29 games.

Hudson will miss a minimum of five games and can't return until April 12 against Utah.

The Wolves lead the Midwest Division and are chasing Sacramento for the best record in the Western Conference.

Martin, signed for the remainder of the season, has spent time in the CBA this year. He also signed two 10-day contracts with the Wolves and averaged 2.8 points and 8.7 minutes in nine games.
