"Philadelphia 76ers President and General Manager Billy King announced today that the Sixers have acquired a 2004 conditional second round draft pick from the Orlando Magic in exchange for Monty Williams, a 2004 conditional second round draft pick and an undisclosed amount of cash."

The second-round pick Philadelphia is sending to Orlando is one they acquired from the Golden State Warriors in a deal for Jiri Welsch two years ago. It is the Warriors' 2004 second-round pick.

The conditions of the second-round pick Orlando sent to Philadelphia are unknown at this time.

The Magic used the Traded Player Exception they received earlier today from the Donnell Harvey trade to acquire Williams.

Philadelphia made this deal to either clear a much needed spot for their injury-riddled team on the injured list and to help avoid the luxury ax, while getting a Traded Player Exception worth about $1 million that they can use in a future deal.
