ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) Orlando shooting guard Shammond Williams was activated from the injured list before the Magic played the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night.

Williams had missed nine games with a sprained left knee. He is averaging 5.2 points and a team-high 1.22 steals.

To make room on the roster, the Magic placed rookie guard Reece Gaines on the injured list with right knee patella tendinitis. Gaines had nine points and 14 assists in 14 games.
