Rivers thinks Pachulia, a 6-foot-11, 240-pound bruiser from Turkey, has a good shot to be the team's opening-day center despite being just 19 years old.

Pachulia severely sprained his ankle in Tuesday's night's practice when he landed on Bogan's foot. His availability for the rest of the week is questionable.

"Every player has their own character," said Pachulia, whom the Magic snagged with the 42nd pick of the draft. "When they picked me up, they knew what kind of player I was because they followed me in Europe. That's why I am here. I came to the NBA not to just wear a jersey like a lot of guys, but I want to be on the floor and play and have success. I never want to lose. I'm hoping my style will help this team."
