The Nets completed their coaching staff yesterday naming Larry Drew, 45, as an assistant coach under Byron Scott. Drew, who spent the last three seasons with the Wizards, was a teammate of Scott's with the Lakers for two seasons (1989-90 and 1990-91).

Drew, who played 10 seasons in the NBA averaging 11.4 points and 5.2 assists, - including 20.1 points in 1982-83 for the Kings - also served as an assistant in Detroit for one season and for seven years with the Lakers. Drew joined Don Newman, a former assistant in Milwaukee, in filling the vacancies created by the departure to Washington of Eddie Jordan and Mike O'Koren. Lawrence Frank remains as the bench holdover from last season.
