Free-agent forward Robert Horry has agreed to a contract with the San Antonio Spurs, according to a broadcast report.

Horry, who spent the last 6? seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers and helped them to win three straight NBA championships, agreed to a one-year contract with a club option for a second year, Houston television station KRIV reported Tuesday night.

Neither Spurs spokesman Tom James nor Horry's agent, Carl Poston, returned messages left by The Associated Press on Tuesday night.

Horry struggled last season, when he averaged 6.5 points and missed 36 of 38 3-pointers during the playoffs.
