The Orlando Magic will sign veteran Andrew DeClercq and rookie Reece Gaines today and are just a sticking point away from completing a deal for free-agent point guard Tyronn Lue.

Orlando has only the $1.5 million veteran's exception to offer Lue, but the haggling between the parties is over the length of the contract.

"We're not at the point that we're dotting the 'i's' and crossing the 't's,' but we're almost there," Lue's agent, Andy Miller, said Thursday. "Tyronn is still leaning toward Orlando."

Lue, a five-year veteran who played with the Washington Wizards last season, emerged as the Magic's top choice to either start at point guard or mentor Gaines. The Magic also have negotiated with Antonio Daniels and have left the door open to re-sign veteran Darrell Armstrong.

Miller also represents Gaines, the Magic's first-round draft pick out of Louisville. He said Gaines' deal will be done today. As the 15th pick in the draft, he is slotted to make $3.5 million over three years, with the team holding the option on a fourth year.

DeClercq, projected to be the Magic's starting center, will likely receive a two-year deal for about $4 million. He averaged 4.7 points and 4.4 rebounds in 77 games last season.
