A runaway pituitary gland and a motorcycle accident have dramatically affected the NBA draft order, and the Orlando Magic may feel the aftershocks Thursday night.

Needs changed for at least two teams picking ahead of the Magic, who are among many clubs looking for a point guard.

The Chicago Bulls, who pick No. 7, now might need to take a point guard after Jay Williams was severely injured in a motorcycle accident last week. The Bulls selected the point guard as the No. 2 pick overall last June.

Magic General Manager John Gabriel said Tuesday that Williams' season-ending injury "had a ripple effect throughout the entire first round."
