After a crazy season of unexpected change, Drew Gooden and Gordan Giricek have been rewarded for their struggle.

The Orlando Magic rookies, by way of Memphis and through the differing influences of three coaches, made the all-rookie team Wednesday.

Gooden, who averaged 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds over 70 games, received a nod on the first team. Giricek scored 12.3 points per game in 76 appearances and made the second team.

The Magic acquired the two players in a Feb. 19 trade that sent Mike Miller, Ryan Humphrey and two draft picks to Memphis. Magic Coach Doc Rivers became their third coach, after Sidney Lowe, whom Memphis fired early in the season, and Hubie Brown.
