From the Associated Press: With his 12 treys in a game earlier this season, Lakers guard Kobe Bryant broke the NBA's all-time record for three-pointers made in a game. On Wednesday, Kobe broke another mark, scoring 51 points against the Denver Nuggets to top the mark of 47 by Orlando's Tracy McGrady earlier this season against the Bucks on Nov.2nd for most points in a game.

Bryant was 15-for-28 from the field and 18-of-20 on free throws in the NBA's first 50-point game this season. It was the 11th time he scored 40 or more points this season and his third career game with at least 50.

Bryant finished five points short of his career high, set last year against Memphis, despite sitting out the final 13 minutes.

The Lakers also won the game 121-93.
