Steve Wyche of the Washington Post reports: Last nigh, the Washington Wizards opened up their three game, West Coast trip without the services of swingman Jerry Stackhouse (pulled left groin).

However, they hope to have their leading scorer back when they return home on Monday to host the Toronto Raptors.

Stackhouse could come back for Friday's game at Utah but is not expected to play tonight when the Wizards go to Los Angeles to play the Clippers.

"I'm going to try and work my way back and not try to do what I did before," said Stackhouse, who missed four games earlier this season when he initially suffered the injury. "The way it flared up right after I played, I definitely came back too early last time. Instead of it flaring up over and over, I want to get it right so I can be there at the end."
