This thing was wild, entertaining, frustrating and filled with ups and downs.

And that was just Jason Kidd's box-score line.

John Stockton may have scored a season-high 25 points in the Jazz's 106-103 overtime victory Monday at the Delta Center, but New Jersey's point guard had much more of an adventure. If the game had lasted any longer, Kidd would have approached a statistical quadruple-double -- even without assists, a standard component of a triple-double.

In good and bad varieties, Kidd's numbers came super-sized: 44 minutes, 12-of-36 shooting, 33 points, 13 rebounds, 10 turnovers, six steals and five assists.

His field-goal attempts marked a career high; his minutes and rebounds were season highs.

"He does whatever it takes to get it done for his team each night," Stockton said.
