Jerry Stackhouse is set to miss tonight's game against the Toronto Raptors and possibly the next two or three, according to Steve Wyche of the Washington Post.  Stackhouse states he began to feel discomfort in his groin about four games ago but tried to play through the pain.  However after awaking the morning after the Wizards win over the Knicks Stackhouse was in more pain than usual and was forced to have an MRI exam.

"They told me a week but I'm taking it day-to-day," said Stackhouse. "Right now it's bothering me a lot."

Stackhouse was most disappointed with the timing of the injury, his team winning six of their last seven games.

"It's really discouraging because we felt this was our opportunity to separate ourselves from around that number seven or eight spot," Stackhouse said. "It's still a big week for us. I've got a lot of confidence in the guys. There are guys who really haven't been playing a lot because of the logjam of minutes but a guy like Bryon Russell, look for him to step in and do some good things for us."
