He is a formittible member of the Nets' one-two punch, get many in the NBA are scared of him for his thug-like approach.

Kenyon Martin continues to excel and the New Jersey Nets continue to win, Martin along with teammates Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson driving their team into first place in the East.  Fred Kerber of the New York Post states that Martin has been called many things in his short career, and now he is ready to be called an All-Star.

"I want to make the All-Star team before I'm done playing, yeah," said Martin.  "This year, it would be great, so if I can keep playing well, keep putting together games in a row it would be cool. If we're winning and I'm playing well I've got a better chance."

The usual support from his team is also evident, starting with team president Rod Thorn.

"You could make a great case for him," said Thorn.  "He's one of the top defensive players in the league. Without him, we wouldn't be the same team defensively. ... To me, he's a player who can make it, and nobody would blink if he did."
