Roger Brown of the Cleveland Plain Dealer wonders if trading Ricky Davis may be the answer. It appears as if Davis isn?t happy wearing a Cavaliers uniform. His two-game suspension for arguing with teammates should be enough evidence of that.

If the Cavaliers start to think that Davis should go, the team should have no problem finding another team willing to take him in a trade.

Brwon writes, "As NBA contracts go, Davis' current six-year, $34 million deal - which he signed over the summer - wouldn't be tough for many teams to assume. At least 20 NBA shooting guards will make more than the $4.5 million Davis gets this season, and that was before Indiana's Ron Artest signed a fat new deal weeks ago. Also, there are no huge leaps in Davis' annual salary over the remaining five years of his contract - so a team doesn't have to worry about giving him an outrageous raise in the future."

(RealGM Note: Since the Cavaliers matched another team?s contract offer to keep Davis, Davis has a no-trade clause for this year. Any trade would have to be agreeable to Davis. Also, he can not be traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves at all this season because it was their offer which was matched.)

Considering Davis has been disciplined for arguing with teammates already this season, and chances are the disgruntled star will continue to show his displeasure with the club, it doesn?t seem far-fetched to believe that the Cavaliers would want to deal him.
