A five-game Eastern road swing was winding down at the start of last week, and the Jazz needed a win like turkeys need a good hiding place this time of year.
     
They got one, too, gutting out an 82-78 victory at Toronto.
     
Afterward, their record improved to 4-7, those from Utah suggested such a win just might be a catalyst for greater accomplishments.
     
"Games like this . . . maybe can get you going a little bit," Karl Malone said then.
