Ashley McGeachy Fox of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Allen Iverson had a typical day at the office yesterday. He scored 34 points to help lead his Sixers to a 101-99 overtime win over the Los Angeles Clippers and he played the final five minutes with what could be a broken thumb.

With 6 seconds left in regulation and the score tied at 92, Iverson missed a final shot. He claims that Clipper guard Andre Miller hit his hand. Iverson knew something wasn?t right. "I thought it was broke when it happened," Iverson said.

On the bench before overtime, Iverson told trainer Lenny Currier that something was wrong. He played in overtime anyway, scoring six of his team's nine points, including a 20-foot jumper that gave the Sixers a relatively comfortable 100-97 lead with 45.2 seconds remaining.

After the game, Iverson was asked if he thought the thumb was broken. "I hope not," was all he could say.

"It's always a concern, because you don't want to play with injuries," Iverson said. "But now that I guess that's something I'm accustomed to, I don't have a problem fighting through injuries. It's kind of frustrating for me, because I've been feeling real good lately, especially those first couple of games. I hadn't had any nicks or anything like that. I was feeling fine. Now, this is just another injury added to my body."

He is scheduled to be evaluated today.
