Like the Pacific, the Midwest Division looks like the Big Two and everybody else.

The San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks are still the class of the division and figure to battle to the end for the No. 1 seed.

In a curious departure for a team that always seems to be on the market, the Mavericks made no significant changes, despite the fact they play porous defense and don't match up well with the Spurs in the middle.

San Antonio, meanwhile, added a promising rookie and some (more) veterans to a team that already had loads of experience.
