With shots falling from all corners of the court, the Mavericks did everything but clean the American Airlines Center floor with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Dirk Nowitzki scored 31 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, and Michael Finley added 28 points as the Mavericks blew past the Timberwolves 122-110 to take a commanding 2-0 lead in this best-of-five opening-round playoff series.

Despite his team's dominance Wednesday, Mavericks coach Don Nelson still doesn't believe this series is all but over.

"I think very easily they could win two games [in Minnesota]; it could still be a five-game series," Nelson said. "We definitely have an advantage by winning the first two games, but it doesn't mean anything really until you win the third game.

"We're going to give it our best shot, and whether we win or lose the series, as long as we play the way we played the first two games, I can accept winning or losing."
