Hornets forward Jamal Mashburn, an expected starter in last night?s game 2 in the series against the Orlando Magic, became dizzy at 4pm yesterday and returned to hospital.  He played only 10 minutes of game 1 before leaving the arena on a stretcher, coach Paul Silas believing he would be ready for last night?s game after participating in light drills Monday.

Dr. Jack Kramer, the Hornets team physician, said during the game that Mashburn is suffering from a vitamin B-12 deficiency, viral infection and mild anemia. He said Mashburn was receiving fluids in the hospital and might be released today.

"You can kind of get disillusioned by that," Silas said. "You lose a guy like Mash, and you've got to make up 20 points somewhere. You got to have your firepower in the playoffs.?

"People have made so much about how Toronto played without Vince Carter, but look at what Detroit did to them the other night. You look at how San Antonio struggled without David Robinson. At this point, you need all your guys."
