Jared Jeffries, the forward of the Indiana Hoosiers who met Maryland in the NCAA Championship game, is coming to the NBA.  Despite being dominated by Terrapins duo Lonny Baxter and Chris Wilcox in the championship game and being invisible against Oklahoma in the Final Four Jeffries believed he was good enough to be a lottery pick, which is why on Monday he announced he is coming out.

Jeffries realizes he still has a lot to learn and must put on more weight if he wants to be successful in the NBA.  Jeffries, like so many players in previous years, is expected to be drafted highly based on his potential and not his current skill.  The 6-10 forward averaged 15 points and 7.6 rebounds a game last season, but he has the ability to work inside, handle the ball and consistently hit the outside jumper.

"I feel I've played well enough this season to have a chance to be a lottery pick," Jeffries said.  "I have to get stronger. I don't question that. I have to learn more about basketball."
