The Utah Jazz might have the most stable roster in the NBA. The Denver Nuggets have an interim coach, a trade-ready point guard and a fallen star forward who can't get off the bench.

With Nick Van Exel on the bench for the fifth consecutive game, nursing a sore elbow and hoping to be traded before nightfall, and Antonio McDyess' return from knee surgery delayed until March 1, the Nuggets were an easy mark Wednesday night for the Jazz.

Getting lots of layups (17) and even more wide-open looks from the perimeter, the Jazz took command in the second half to defeat the Nuggets 110-99 for its sixth consecutive victory, all on an Olympics-forced trip that includes three more stops before it can go home.

The victory moved the Jazz to seven games over .500 at 31-24. It was the third consecutive loss for the Nuggets (16-35).

So soft was the Nuggets' defense that coach Mike Evans said they weren't even competitive.
