Winning never comes easy for the Hawks. And Saturday night, in an odd. quirky way, they were on the floor trying to win with defense and actually doing it.

"We've been a team that outscores you. We've never had a lot of trouble scoring," guard Jason Terry said. "But we've had a lot of trouble stopping people. Tonight, what we did was go out there and work on stopping people."

The Hawks grabbed a lead late in the third quarter and then held on tenaciously to put down the Los Angeles Clippers 101-94. That ended the season's second six-game losing streak as the Hawks won for only the second time in 14 games.
