Who: Orlando Magic (23-21) vs. Toronto Raptors (25-19) When: 2:30 p.m. today Where: Toronto's Air Canada Centre TV, radio: Sunshine Network; WMEL-AM 920, WDBO-AM 580. Starters: Orlando -- guards Darrell Armstrong, Tracy McGrady; forwards Mike Miller, Pat Garrity; center Horace Grant. Toronto -- guards Alvin Williams, Vince Carter; forwards Antonio Davis, Jerome Williams; center Hakeem Olajuwon. Magic notes: Orlando enters this showdown in Toronto on a roll. The Magic have won 10 of their past 14 games to draw near the Raptors in the Eastern Conference standings. If the playoffs started today, fifth-seeded Orlando would play in fourth-seeded Toronto. . . . Orlando rallied past the Miami Heat Thursday night, holding the Heat to just 36 second-half points. Darrell Armstrong keyed the rally with his defensive hustle. He had three steals and baskets in the third quarter, sparking the Magic. He finished with 18 points and four steals. . . . Tracy McGrady, who played his first three NBA seasons with the Raptors, makes his second return to Toronto today. He was booed lustily last season in Orlando's one game in Toronto, a 104-101 Magic victory. But there's a slight chance McGrady might miss today's game because of a nagging back strain. He missed three games earlier in the season because of the injury. Raptors notes: Toronto was expected to contend for the Eastern Conference crown this season after re-signing free agents Vince Carter, Antonio Davis, Jerome Williams, Alvin Williams and trading for veteran center Hakeem Olajuwon. However, the Raptors have been a mild disappointment and have been erratic so far this season. Six times this season Toronto has lost consecutive games and it dropped four consecutive games in early December. . . . Toronto was routed 114-85 in the season-opener by the Magic. The Raptors were shut down offensively (shooting only 36 percent), while allowing the Magic to shoot 61 percent from the floor. . . . Carter struggled mightily in the opener against the Magic, missing 12 of his 14 shots. He's taken the most shots (946) in the NBA this season and has launched the fifth-most 3-pointers (245). . . . Next for the Magic: 8 p.m. on Wednesday vs. Los Angeles Lakers (TNT, Sunshine Network)
