STATISTICALLY SPEAKING: The Sonics tied a season-low with seven turnovers.

CROWD COUNT: After last week's announcement that the Hornets are moving to New Orleans next season, fans are more apathetic than ever. Officially, there were 9,638 fans at the game. Unofficially, there might have been 200 people in the upper concourse, with seven empty sections.

HELP WANTED: Asked about the possibility of the Sonics making a deal before the Feb. 21 trading deadline, Sonics coach Nate McMillan said: "I knew rebounding would be a problem for us. If we can't get it from the group here, we'll have to find somebody who will bring it. Until we get it solved, it will be a concern of mine." The Sonics were outrebounded 47-35 last night.

BRUINS REUNION: Before the game, Sonics guard Earl Watson reunited with former UCLA teammates Jerome Moiso and Baron Davis, members of the Hornets.

TICKET BROKERS: McMillan, who played at North Carolina State, and Williams, who played at North Carolina, had 50 friends and relatives attending the game.

ROAD TRIP ASIDE: The weather forecaster for the NBC affiliate in Charlotte is named Larry Sprinkle, and yesterday it did, just before the Sonics left for a morning shootaround.

INJURY: Hornets reserve forward Robert Traylor will miss at least three games after spraining his right ankle Tuesday.
